Camping Tents in Agumbe: A Low-Cost Nature Stay for Trekkers and Bikers

Camping

Want to sleep close to nature without spending much? Our camping tents at Mithila Nature Stay are made for exactly that. Pitch your night inside a 3½-acre plantation in Agumbe, with a stream on the property, proper bathroom facility and meals included. It is a simple, low-cost stay that suits trekkers, bikers and anyone who wants to try camping.

Why stay in a tent in Agumbe

Agumbe is rainforest country, with mist, birdsong and green hills all around. A tent puts you right in the middle of it. You fall asleep to the sounds of the plantation and the stream, and wake up to fresh forest air. You get the camping feeling, and you still have a bathroom and a meal close by.

For trekkers

Agumbe is a base for some of the best treks in the Western Ghats, including Narasimha Parvatha. Treks start early, usually between 7 AM and 10 AM, so sleeping close to the trail head saves you a long morning drive. Camping is not allowed on the Narasimha Parvatha trek itself because of wild animals. Our tents give you a safe, comfortable place to rest the night before and after your trek.

  • Low-cost stay with meals, so your trek budget goes further
  • Close to the Agumbe bus stop and the popular sightseeing places
  • A place to rest, wash and refuel after a long day on the trail

For bikers

Agumbe's ghat and forest roads make a great ride. Our property has a parking area, so you can park your bikes, set up for the night and ride out again in the morning.

For anyone who wants to try camping

You do not need to be a trekker or a biker. Come with friends, with a group or on your own, and spend a night in a tent in the plantation. It is a simple way to switch off from the city.
